Carmarthen Golf Club lies three miles above the Gwili Valley near the historic market town of Carmarthen. The 6242 yard, par 71, hilltop course offers a challenging encounter for the purist golfer but retains a memorable experience for the novice learner. The Club proudly celebrated its centenary during 2007 during which a twinning arrangement was implemented with fellow centenarians Enniscorthy Golf Club in Wexford, Ireland. In the same year, we hosted the Welsh Team Championships for both men and ladies.

The Course
The views throughout are breathtaking and, as the lush verdancy unfolds, upon reaching the 17th tee, our feature hole, astute geographers will note that a rotational surveillance of the
horizon will unveil a perfect sighting of the 'old' South Wales counties of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Glamorganshire and Brecknockshire.

Catering and Clubhouse facilities
Our culinary quality can only be described as exceptional thanks to our top chef, Paul Jones, who has returned to his 'square mile' following an extensive career, including the Marriott Hotel chain, across the UK.

The Pro Shop
Darren Griffiths, our Director of Golf, was awarded the Welsh PGA Club Professional of the Year in 2008 for his commitment as a top quality teaching professional for all ages. An eight bay covered driving range and five holed Academy Course has been recently completed under the Ryder Cup Legacy Scheme.
