Llanymynech Golf Club

You could say Llanymynech played a key part in Ian Woosnam’s early career. Just a bit. He first played here when he was seven. His mother and father were both captains of the club. And it’s still one of his favourite places to play. Llanymynech is also the only course in Europe where you can play golf in two countries in one round. On the 4th, you drive off in Wales and putt out in England – where you’ll stay for the next three holes. Obviously we prefer the other 15. The course is a real test of your golf ability: hilly and surrounded by sheer cliff faces, with panoramic views of the Shropshire/Cheshire plains and Berwyn Mountains.
