Designed at the turn of the century by James Braid the genius course designer, Porthmadog Golf Club offers a challenging mixture of heath and links land golf as well as charm and character in abundance.

Porthmadog provides some of the most stunning vistas that you are likely to encounter, but also delivers a stern test of golf that weaves menacingly through the sand dunes of Tremadog Bay.

Royal Sportsman

The Royal Sportsman is Porthmadog's only hotel which has been awarded a star rating by the AA and Visit Wales.

It is a full service quality 3*** premier hotel and is considered to be the very best within its rating in Snowdonia, now with an AA Rosette for its food.

The Lion Hotel

Situated on the Criccieth Village Green commanding magnificent views of Cardigan Bay, The Lion Hotel which dates back to 1731 has been tastefully developed and extended from an Olde Inn into the Hotel it is today offering a unique personal service of friendliness, comfort and true hospitality. Free parking is available in our private car park. All our bedrooms have en suite facilities and offer remote control colour television, direct-dial telephone, radio, alarm clock, hairdryers and a complimentary tea and coffee tray.

A lift is installed for the comfort of our guests and specially adapted bedrooms for the disabled are available.

Prices are valid from the 1st April - 31st October 2012 and are based upon 2 people sharing a twin or double room. For dates outside of this period, please contact us for a price.

North Wales Coastal Championship Links

This North Wales Coast Championship Links golf break features 3 of the best courses in Wales. All three courses have hosted high profile Amateur tournaments.

Masedu Golf Club

The 18 holes at Masedu are gently undulating. While playing there are captivating panoramic views of the curving Conwy Bay, the Great Orme and in the distance the Snowdonia mountains, Isle of Anglesey and Puffin Island.

The championship course, over 6500 yards, is varied and interesting. A good score is achieved with careful putting on the undulating greens.

Conway Golf Club

Conway, home for the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open for the past two years and the venue for the prestigious European Amateur Team Championship during July 2009.

Set in a spectacular location along the North Wales coast, our links provide a great test of golf all year round, as one would expect of an Open Qualifying course and whilst we strive to maintain these high standards, our objective is also to ensure that our members, visitors and societies enjoy their golf here.

Prestatyn Golf Club

Prestatyn Golf Club is the most northerly course in Wales and is set in 150 acres of unspoilt links land. It enjoys a temperate climate and its seaside nature ensures that golfers can play the greens all the year round.

It is a championship course, 6808 yards off the championship blue tees and 6564 yards of the medal white tees. The prevailing south west winds are a feature of the course and the low punched shot is often a very useful addition to the player's repertoire.

Kinmel Hotel
