Royal St Davids Golf Club
Royal St David’s Golf Club is quite simply one of the finest traditional championship links courses in the world.
Set in the most beautiful and scenic part of Wales and dominated by the brooding presence of Harlech Castle, Royal St David’s is Nationally and Internationally renowned. It has been established for more than 100 years and is steeped in history. Rated in the Top 50 Courses in the UK & Ireland by both Golf World and Golf Monthly magazines, it has frequently hosted, and continues to host, world class amateur and professional events.
In 2009 the Club is hosted the S4C Ladies Championship of Europe, the Ladies’ British Amateur Open Championship and the Society of One Armed Golfers’ 72nd World Championship.
Royal St. David’s is indeed Royal. Edward VII gave the club his patronage and the Duke of Windsor, later to become Edward VIII , captained the club in 1934 while he was Prince of Wales.
The course is noted for a succession of long testing par fours plus five short holes, which vary in length and direction, with large, true greens a feature.
The Honours Boards in the Clubhouse show the names of four Open Champions, five Amateur Champions, an American Amateur Champion, a Masters Champion a Canadian Ladies Amateur Champion and countless English and Welsh Champions of both sexes.
Regarded as one of the world’s toughest par 69, you’ll always get a warm welcome with quality food and friendly service.
